Researchers at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin are looking for children and young adult participants to volunteer in a study of how brain biology is related to possible risk for developing bipolar disorder. We at the Department of Psychiatry are inviting you to consider participating as a volunteer in this research.

Qualified participants must:

• Be between the ages of 14 and 21

• Not be currently diagnosed with bipolar disorder or psychosis

• Have either one parent with a history of bipolar disorder OR have no bipolar disorder in any first or second-degree relatives

• Be willing to undergo an MRI scan

Qualified participants receive:

• You will be compensated for all study components completed, which can be up to $1850 for full participation
