We are assessing the effect of extended high-frequency hearing loss on different aspects of auditory perception in children. The child will have the next few items performed on them: 

- Pure tone audiometry (hearing test)

- Wideband tympanometry (to see how the eardrum is performing)

- MEPA (checking how the middle ear system is working)

Once these items are complete, the child will undergo some speech in noise testing and will have to identify the information they hear by clicking on some buttons on the computer.

The study will take about 3-4 hours to complete so we are paying $15 an hour plus $10 to compensate for parking.
