Perspectives: The Work of Willem de Kooning

We are delighted to be joined by artist and musician Joan Levy Hepburn who will discuss Willem de Kooning’s work with UT Art History professor Richard Shiff, drawing on insights gleaned from her twenty-five-year friendship with the artist. Hepburn’s work focuses on the perceptual experience of color and the relationship between sound and image.

Please meet in the Blanton Museum Atrium and arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the talk. Our public talks can accommodate large groups, but we encourage you to check-in with our Visitor Services Desk to secure your place.

Included with museum admission; Free for members and UT students, faculty, and staff.

The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Paid parking is available in the Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the museum.
