The myths and legends of Texas cowboys and longhorns run deep, but what about the brightly lit bustling cities, the rolling plains and painted canyons, the towering pines and swampy bayous, the crashing ocean waves on sandy beaches? This pop up features printed works by just as diverse a group of artists, mediums, and styles as the great lands of Texas. Join us in viewing these “Made In Texas” works from the Prints and Drawings collection that shine as bright as the stars above Big Bend, including Luis Jimenez, Robert Rauschenberg, Cilea Muñoz, David Bates, Eric Avery, and Melissa Miller. Featuring etchings, lithographs, woodcuts, engravings, mezzotints, letterpress, and screenprints spanning six decades.

This pop up is organized in conjunction with PrintAustin. PrintAustin is an artist-led nonprofit working with local venues and artists to showcase traditional and contemporary approaches in printmaking. PrintAustin hosts its annual festival from January 15 through February 15.
