Join us as our ECE postdoc talks about her research experiences involving working in different academic faculties (physics and electrical engineering), on different semiconductor systems (compound III-V semiconductors and two-dimensional materials), and in different countries (US, UK and India). Semiconductors, in addition to being the basic building blocks of all modern- day electronics, also serve as a great platform for unravelling the fundamental physics of the two types of charge carriers, electrons and holes.

While our speaker’s current research on two-dimensional materials is more application-oriented, her Ph.D. research was very fundamental in nature. By sharing her experiences involving several transitions, she also hopes to inspire us in embracing change as a necessary ingredient for growth while retaining our core values and passions.
