Do you want to make the teaching materials you create more accessible to your students and others who might adopt them? The OER Outreach Working Group and Services for Students with Disabilities are hosting a workshop to teach instructors how to implement accessibility standards in the learning objects they create, including digital documents, video, and Canvas.
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
Gain familiarity with principles of accessibility, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Understand how to apply accessibility principles as best practices to digital learning objects from creation to presentation Know how to increase the reach and impact of their digital learning objects as open educational resources (OER)
The workshop is free and open to university faculty, graduate students, and staff, but registration is required. Register here.
