The Master of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (MSSLHS) and Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) education programs at the University of Texas at Austin are hosting a public meeting to solicit comments from students, clients, and the public in preparation for their upcoming reaccreditation site visit by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

The Public Meeting will be held on the University of Texas at Austin Campus:

A copy of the Standards for Accreditation and/or CAA’s Policy on Public Comment may be obtained in any of the following ways:

• Contacting the Accreditation Office at the American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA), 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, Maryland 20850, or
• Calling ASHA’s Action Center at 1-800-498-2071, or
• Accessing the documents online at: https://caa.asha.org/  

Written comments may also be provided prior to or at the Public Meeting, or to a CAA site visitor. All comments must:

• Relate to a program’s compliance with the current Standards for Accreditation
• Identify the specific program seeking candidacy, initial accreditation, or continued accreditation with the CAA
• All written testimony—including comments faxed or submitted as email attachments—must include the commenter’s name, address, telephone contact information, and the commenter’s relationship to the program i((e.g., student, client, student’s or client’s family member, community member)in order for Accreditation staff to verify the source of the testimony. All comments must be signed.
