Do you want to join a new orchestra to bring music to hospital patients? 

UT Austin faculty, staff, and trainees are invited to join the Red River Ensemble, an orchestra formed by Dell Medical School and UT Health Austin in collaboration with clinical partner Ascension Seton.  The orchestra will meet Mondays 7:30-9 pm, beginning September 12, for rehearsals at Dell Medical Center Atrium (1500 Red River St). Repertoire includes major orchestral works and there will be performances (at Dell Medical Center) in the fall and spring. The orchestra has openings for the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, double bass, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, and percussion (mainly timpani). The mission of the Red River Ensemble is to fill hospital halls with music at Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, providing opportunities for UT faculty, staff, and trainees to perform classical music for the benefit of patients, visitors, and their families.
