Affiliated with the Institute for Mental Health Research and the Psychology Department, the Anxiety & Health Behaviors Lab conducts state-of-the-art research aimed at improving the treatment of anxiety disorders and related problems. We are looking to hire several motivated research assistants (RAs) to assist with our 3D Virtual Reality Treatment for Fear of Spiders Study. This is a fantastic opportunity for students interested in clinical psychology and gaining research experience important for graduate school.

The primary responsibilities of RAs for this project are recruiting and scheduling participants, administering the study during participant study visits, and managing follow-up surveys. RAs will be required to regularly handle a live tarantula. No previous tarantula experience is required and if you have never handled a tarantula before that is completely okay! All RAs will be properly trained and supervised on handling spiders.
