Description:
Assist with a research study exploring language development in bilingual adults. This study focuses on how adults learn and use multiple languages. Specifically, we are exploring how the knowledge of one language assists or inhibits the processing of another language.
Qualifications:
Must be responsible. The research requires that students interact with adult participants so it is essential that assistants be present and on time when appointments are scheduled. A two-semester commitment is preferred, though not required.
Must be English-Spanish bilingual
Strong interest in conducting research
Able to commit 7-10 hours per week
Majoring in psychology, linguistics, or related field
Duties:
Primary duties include running participant sessions, scheduling of appointments, coding data and occasional meetings with graduate student researcher and other research assistants. All training regarding lab and research duties will be provided.
