You are invited to participate in a research study. The purpose of this research is to interview LGBT individuals who had their sexual orientation outed within their family.

The study, Being Outed: Exploring Agency Shifts in CPM, focuses on the narratives of LGBT individuals who have been outed to someone in their family. You are eligible to participate if you are 18 years of age or older who identifies as LGBT and has been outed in their family. To clarify, outing is when someone shares personal information about your sexuality without your permission. The study involves an in-person interview at a location convenient to you. If you would like to participate or want more information please contact Robert Carroll at carrollrw@utexas.edu. Communication Studies students may sign up using the online SONA system to receive extra credit for their participation.
