"Salt in My Soul: An Unfinished Life" Brown Bag Lunch & Book Signing

Diane Shader Smith presents "Salt in My Soul:  An Unfinished Life," the diaries of her daughter Mallory Smith, a remarkable young woman who was determined to live a meaningful and happy life despite her struggle with cystic fibrosis and a rare superbug—from age fifteen to her death in 2017 at the age of twenty-five. 


This program will also include remarks by Stacy Dollar, Executive Director, CF Foundation, Central Texas Chapter-Austin as well as a Q&A.  Books will be available for purchase from University Co-op following talk.


This event is co-sponsored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Central Texas Chapter - Austin, Steve Hicks School of Social Work and the Dell Children’s Medical Center Complex and Palliative Medicine Program.
