 rking with digitized materials from libraries and archives. After an initi
 al one hour workshop\, we will have librarians available for an additional
  hour of office hours for more in-depth consultation on attendees’ own q
 uestions or research projects. The workshop will cover:\n\n \n\n- techniqu
 es for DIY digitization in a library or archive\n- best practices for orga
 nizing your digital files\n- how to perform optical character recognition 
 (OCR) to extract text from your images\n- methodologies and sample code fo
 r performing text analysis\n  \nAttendees are encouraged to bring their ow
 n questions and projects to discuss during the office hours!\n  \nRegistra
