This summer, the Blanton is “Dancing about Art” every Second Saturday, with live music and dance-themed art experiences. Plus you can picnic on the Moody Patio, explore new exhibitions in the air-conditioned galleries, & more!

On Saturday, July 13, it’s the SWING edition, featuring:

  • Dance music by The Golden Hour Orchestra
  • Swing dance lessons by Austin Swing Syndicate
  • Art with an Expert talk featuring UT Art & Art History professor R. Eric McMaster discussing his work Compressions, currently on view at the Blanton
  • Dance-themed pop-up print exhibition
  • special Curator's Choice talk
  • Complimentary treat & cooling towels from H-E-B
  • Food & drink from Flyrite Chicken and Haymaker for purchase
  • Air-conditioned galleries open until 8 PM
