The Senate of College Councils (SCC) 2023 incoming member application is open. Since 1973, SCC has worked directly with the college councils to promote academic programs, encourage teaching excellence, and uplift student voices on academic issues to the university administration. Members of Senate advocate for their communities on a host of issues including (but not limited to): undergraduate research opportunities, post-graduate opportunities, equity, and inclusion efforts, study abroad opportunities, scholarship distribution, the core curriculum, advising, tuition regulation, syllabus policies, and much more— some of which you could help propose solutions for! This is your chance to impact the future of academics. Senate is devoted to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for students and is committed to being your voice in UT’s academics. Applications to SCC are due on September 11th, 2023. Please see our website for more information and for the application: https://senateofcollegecouncils.utexas.edu/.
