Sexually active individuals in romantic relationships are invited to participate in a couples study at the University of Texas at Austin. This study examines physiological synchrony in couples. Participants will be asked to come in to the Sexual Psychophysiology Laboratory at UT with their partners, complete a set of self-report questionnaires, and engage in a several interpersonal tasks while connected to an ECG to measure heart rate. Tasks are both non-verbal (i.e., trying to physically mirror your partner, looking into your partner’s eyes) and verbal (i.e., talking to your partner about how you view yourself as a sexual person). The study is expected to take 1-2 hours and participants will compensated with $15 each, or $30 per couple.
