Indigo is excited to announce a guest speaker, Simple Rajrah, for November 7th, 2025, at 10:00 AM CST in GWB 2.206.
Simple Rajrah is a third-year doctoral candidate in politics at the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford, focusing on the intellectual history of anti-caste feminist movements in India. She will be presenting a recent paper titled "From Geneva to Philippines: Caste, race, sexuality and transnational solidarity", which focuses on a revisionist feminist history of the internationalization of caste and disrupts the standard narrative that hails the Durban conference in 2001 as an initiation point for the post-colonial internationalization of caste
