Stop the Bleed Open Access Class

Uncontrolled bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death from injury, but anyone can learn how to control bleeding and save a life. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign by the American College of Surgeons and the Hartford Consensus that cultivates grassroots efforts to empower bystanders to help in a bleeding emergency. With knowledge and experience in basic bleeding control techniques such as direct pressure, tourniquet use, and wound packing, Stop the Bleed believes in the ability of anyone to make a difference in these real-life emergencies.

Dell Medical School sponsors the UT Austin chapter of Stop the Bleed and hosts monthly open access classes. Attend a FREE training to learn to recognize and address a life-threatening injury.
