Teach-in on citizenship and population registration in India

In the light of recent events that have drawn attention to citizenship, population registration and cultures of dissent in the Indian subcontinent, the South Asia Institute has organized a panel of its own faculty members, Professor Sumit Guha (History), Professor Syed Akbar Hyder (Asian Studies), and Professor Snehal Shingavi (English), to speak on historical, cultural and political complexities of India on January 23, 2020, at 3-5 pm in WCH 4.132. Professor Sharmila Rudrappa (Sociology) will chair the event.

This event is free and open to the public.
