The Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health (TIEMH) invites Texas residents of all ages from Kindergarten through senior adults to participate in the 2026 Texas Mental Health Creative Arts Contest.

This statewide contest encourages individuals to reflect on the theme “What Does Mental Health Mean to You?” through creative expression. Submissions may include traditional art, digital art, photography, or writing, and should explore emotions, challenges well-being, healing, or everyday experiences related to mental health.

The contest aims to reduce stigma, spark conversation, and highlight diverse voices across Texas by using art as a tool for connection and understanding.

Contest winners have the opportunity to have their art displayed in virtual and in-person galleries.

Eligibility: Open to all Texas residents, youth and adults

Submission period: January 15 – March 31, 2026
