About this Event
Free EventHave you ever wanted to learn more about television production? Interested in reporting about student life, sporting events, or on the red carpet of a film festival? Ever wanted to act in sketch comedy, produce a sitcom, or direct a live music broadcast?
If any of the above apply, come on out to Texas Student Television’s Spring 2019 General Meeting! TSTV is UT’s very own student-run, FCC licensed television station, with student created and produced programming. At the GM, you’ll learn all about TSTV’s wide array of shows from comedy, news, sports, music, video games, and much more. At TSTV, you can act, write, direct, edit, produce, camera operate, social media manage, help with show marketing, and anything else it takes to run a television program.
The best part...no experience is necessary! We train you on everything. All majors and classifications are encouraged and welcome to join. We have no try outs, and are entirely volunteer powered. As long as you come out and train, you’re in!
Our alumni have worked and interned at places such as ESPN, CBS, CNN, Longhorn Network, NBC, Rooster Teeth, and many other great places. So if you’re interested in getting a foot in the door in the TV industry, or just joining a fun organization, come on out!
Our meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 6th at 7:30pm in BMC 2.106. We hope to see you there! If you have any scheduling conflicts and cannot attend the meeting, or have any questions please email our Station Manager Peter Corrao at manager@texasstudentv.com
