The Deeply Listening Body: A Workshop with Heloise Gold
Please join the Blanton for a free 55 minute workshop with Austin artist and Deep Listening practitioner Heloise Gold on Friday November 2nd at 2:30PM in the Capitol Room of the Edgar A. Smith Building of the Blanton Museum of Art.
This workshop is particularly relevant to folks interested in deepening their self care practices, movement and dance practitioners, and healthcare students looking to develop new skills for interacting with patients.
Gold will introduce participants to her practice of listening with the body as a tool for self care and empathy along with an introduction to Pauline Oliveros' Sonic Meditations.
On Sunday November 4th, participants are invited to take part in a short participatory work at the SoundSpace concert series at the Blanton Museum of Art. This part of the program (which is very low pressure) will end the concert at approximately 3:45-4:00PM.
For more information please see the attached flyer, or visit the Facebook event for the workshop.
