The Sensorium of the Roman Urban Landscape: Sights, Sounds, Smells, Tastes, and Touch

Dr. Ann Olga Koloski-Ostrow (Brandeis University), joins us on behalf of the Central Texas Society of the Archaeological Institute of America on Wednesday, 19 February at 6pm in Calhoun Hall, Room 100 to deliver a lecture entitled, The Sensorium of the Roman Urban Landscape: Sights, Sounds, Smells, Tastes, and Touch. Dr. Koloski-Ostrow has authored and edited several books about the nitty-gritty aspects of daily life in ancient Roman cities, including most recently, The Archaeology of Sanitation in Roman Italy: : Toilets, Sewers, and Water Systems (2015) and Roman Toilets: Their Archaeology and Cultural History (2011).
