The Well-Written Academic Cover Letter

Part of the Academic Job Preparation Series for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars, this hands-on session addresses the purpose of the cover letter, its customary format, and necessary content, along with tips on how to avoid common mistakes and missteps so you can make the best first impression possible on the search committee. Attendees will leave this session with clearly identified content to include and a concrete outline of their cover letters.
