Former science journalist and current physics PhD student Suzanne Jacobs talks about quitting soap after running into a guy who hadn't showered for 15 years.

Four years ago, I read about a guy in Massachusetts who went on a date, heard about a horse, and then didn't shower for more than 15 years. A few days later, I ran into that guy in a bar. My showers haven't been the same since. Come to my talk this Friday to find out why I changed my hygiene routine to save my skin.

About the speaker:
Suzanne got a bachelor's in physics, then a master's in science journalism and worked for various news outlets in Boston and Seattle before coming to UT for her physics PhD. She now studies the collective motion of bacteria across surfaces.
