Join for an exploration of creative and technological tools to enhance connection with loved ones and their care partners. This presentation will include stories and footage from Romero’s partnership in the Alzheimer’s journey with his mother, a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse and Musician. Participants can expect to learn activities, communication techniques, and knowledge on Dementia and End of Life care. Additionally, participants will explore advocacy within care facilities and financial and privilege implications of elder care.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to….

• Utilize creative and technological tools to facilitate meaningful connections between individuals living with Alzheimer's and their care partners, enhancing understanding and fostering emotional bonds.
• Incorporate practical knowledge and empathetic understanding of the Alzheimer's journey through the instructor’s  personal and professional journey as a caregiver for his mother.
• Apply a variety of activities and communication techniques tailored to support individuals living with dementia, promoting engagement, autonomy, and quality of life throughout the caregiving process.
• Provide more effective support and advocacy for clients and their families dementia and end-of-life care.
