You Are Here: Shifting Perspectives

There are many ways to see the world. Maps visualize the map maker's perspective, which varies wildly from the information on the map, such as names, borders, and thematic data, to the projection and where the map is centered. The PCL Map Room (PCL 1.306) houses the physical collection, comprising more than 350,000 items representing all areas of the world. Most of the collection's maps date from 1900 to the present.

Visit the PCL Map Room and explore the world of maps on Tuesday, September 6, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Refreshments will be served.
