Are you an international student?  The Systems Immunology Lab is seeking international student volunteers who have not previously received the Hepatitis B vaccine to participate in a study researching how the immune system responds to vaccines.  The Hepatitis B vaccine is required for most American high school students and suggested for all UT students.

To be eligible, you must 1) be an international student enrolled at the University between the ages of 18 and 25, 2) be generally healthy, 3) have not previously received the HBV vaccine, and 4) have at least 1 year of remaining studies at the University. 

Eligible participants will be asked to donate a small volume of blood to confirm suitability for the full study.  Participants will receive a $25 gift card following blood donation. 

If selected for the full study, the study will cover the cost of the vaccine.  Blood will be drawn twelve times over the course of a year and donors will be provided with a $25 gift card following each blood donation for a total of $325.
