The UT Department of Kinesiology is testing a device that may help manage certain types of knee pain. The study will take place at the Developmental Motor Control Lab at Bellmont Hall and will take ~90 min. to complete. Participants will be asked to wear a low-risk experimental device that will stimulate and contract quadriceps (thigh) musculature as the user moves. Participants will wear this device while walking back and forth in front of a motion capture camera system and will answer questions to help researchers determine outcomes from device usage.

Women aged 18-40 with knee pain and no other major musculoskeletal conditions may be eligible to participate. To see if you are eligible and to schedule a testing time/date, please email ut.quad.stim.study@gmail.com or call (512) 387-4637. Your participation may result in reduced knee pain and will help advance research in a new field.
