Purpose

The purpose of this study is to learn if new medication education handouts written in Spanish would be helpful for people with limited English proficiency. We also want to learn if these new handouts will improve understanding and retaining information about medications among adults.

Qualification

If you are at least 18 years old, currently taking prescription medicine(s), able to speak and read in Spanish, and have access to a smartphone or internet, and if you are a non-healthcare worker, you are qualified to participate in this study. 

If you agree to participate, you will be asked to 

  • Complete an online survey to share baseline knowledge related to your medicine(s) 
  • Engage in a virtual or in-person meeting with a nurse educator to learn a list of medicines 
  • Complete a post-education assessment online
  • Complete a follow-up assessment online 

Upon completion of the study, you will receive a $25 gift certificate to appreciate your time and involvement. 

Time required: 30-60 minutes.
